Upside down indian stone - What to do

I have just spent the past four weekends carefully digging up old cement, wacking down a nice level base of hardcore. I spent over £750 on indian stone plus materials and laid them last weekend. Thought id done a good job and even used Marshalls 365 pointing at £50 a tub. My joints (at narrowest point) were between 10 and 20mm. I have just been shocked and informed that the narrower end of the slab should face down. Gutted. The reason most of my slab's face this way (pyramid like if you will) was due to the nicest pattern /colour being alot more desirable when putting down my slabs on a dry run. Because of my error some of my joints at widest point are up to 30mm but am hoping my expensive choice of pointing material will help. Will the slabs be okay or do I need to bite the bullet and pull them up and start the whole thing again? Please help

I have seen it laid upside down, often by jobbing builders who think thats the right way up, and end up with 40mm joints.
to me it looks dreadful, but if the customer is happy so be it.
the stone we often lay has a rough side that makes it obvious which way up to lay it!!

way too wet now gav
sealing should only be done in the dry months
most on here wont go near wet look sealers
I like lithofin MN stainstop and dry treat but these are impregnating sealers
problem with surface sealers is you have to redo them every 2 years or so
as with most things cheap sealers are generally rubbish
