When haunching the edging course for a drive against an existing tarmac road, should I still allow for the 75mm wide haunch, up to 15mm from the top of the blocks? If so this will show as an unattractive edge outside my new driveway? Or should this haunch be left lower and then tarmacked over?

Thanks for any advice

Depending on how uneven the Tarmac is on the pavement, I would cut back about 8/12 inches, and install proper flat top pinkerbs first in concrete .
