Artificial grass on poor draining clay ?

Foul and surface water, private drains and public sewers, land drains and soakaways, filter drains and any other ways of getting rid of water.

Hi guys , I know the subject of poor draining clay has been flogged to death , however -
I'm not finding anything much online regarding laying
artificial grass over it .
I'm at the point where all my flagging and edging cobbles are down and pointed , so next plan is dig out a bit and put a wooden frame in .
Overall size is roughly 13 feet x 15 feet 5m x 4m ish .
I was planning on a base layer of mot aggregate , and a good layer of sharp sand , with a weed membrane sandwich either side .
Overall depth around 6 inches .
At the moment I have a bit of a swimming pool as the rain is hitting the clay directly and not penetrating for a good half day .
Do I need to tweek my plans or would you imagine it will drain at a reasonable standard ?
I'm having a 5 x 3m decking to the top side and a decorative gravel area to the side with a kerbed edge .
Any idea's would be appreciated , thanks .

Just gonna go for the plan as above .
if it drains poorly I will have to roll the grass back and either lay some french drains into a run off , or consider a sump and pump .

Would be best to have dug deeper and place 100 ml deep 20 ml stone and filter drain to a suitable drainage point. Then bring up your levels.
