How can I remove/reduce the stains on my Indian stone (kandala grey) patio. Some marks are true rust, others are rust like marks from weed and feed that has run/been walked on to the flags. Already tried fresh lemon juice and vinegar with no joy.

There are specific products designed for removing rust marks in natural stone paving. There are various similar ones available - we have one here if this helps: http://www.pavingsuperstore.co.uk/pavetuf....1-p.asp

Kind regards,

George

Unless your product George is different to others that are out there for rust removal that don't touch the grass feed orange type stains, will it remove fertiliser/weed & feed type staining?
We do use a product for this type of work but always interested to know if there are others out there.

Happy to arrange for a sample to come out to you if you would like to give it a go. It's designed for the true rust stains that come from iron within the stone, but it may work for other stains as well.

You're welcome. It will be interesting to see if it tackles any of the other stains as well. Look forward to the results.

I have the very same product under test at the moment. The first trial produced such variable results that I'm re-running the whole set to double-check. Hope to have results by the end of September, but as Roger says, the impact on mosskiller (Ferrous Sulphate) stains is apparently unreliable
