Finally got around to tackling the patio and paving at home as a diy project. Moved in 4 years ago and knew the patio would need attention from day one more or less.
Can the old bedding sand be used for anything? It looks clean and drains well. But it has had grass growing through the unpointed slabs into it though, and the odd colony of ants! The thought of throwing it into the skip troubles me. Even if it couldn't be used on site here I could put it into bulk bags and give it away on a recycling website if there were other uses that people might be able to put it to.
Any ideas, or should it just go into the skip?
Any use for old bedding sand?

Had a job recently that involved ripping up 140sqm of block paving and replacing with a gravel drive. All the bedding sand from the block paving was reused elsewhere on site. Mixed with 10mm gravel to make concrete for new kerb edges, and mixed up with cement to lay a new patio. Still had 2 m left, which went back to the yard for other jobs!! Nothing wrong with it imo!
