I've laid a lot of the marshalls standard Indian sandstone this year and it is very good.
on the cheaper sandstones once laid on a wet bed you can see the surface of the stone change colour within a few hours of it being laid due to moisture being drawn to the surface.
I haven't had that once with the Marshalls stone.
Several questions re choice of slab

Well everyone thank you for all your input it has been greatly helpful land incitive. anyway we have now ordered the stone Couldn't get marshalls from Jewsons as they are now using Natural Stone for their supplies so have gone with natural stone and their Heather range. As we thought the Lakeland was abit too dark and we were able to choose our crates so got a nice darker shade of heather. Now just got to decide what to use for pointing. andweather builders or sharp sand for the mortar. Thanks again guys. Looking forward to getting a plan made up now.
