This has been bothering me for a while. Our local gypsy friends have gone mad on our estate and are fitting block paving to peoples drives like its going out of fashion. They have got loads of jobs. One thing ive noticed is not one has drainage put in. Some have even ripped up there hole front garden and block paved the lot(without planning permission) with no thought on drainage. Is this legal? If so who do i report it too? If it not legal then the owners need to take responsibilty and stop using these cowboys. I saw the one the did up the road, it was dug up and laid so quick with just a little crushed concrete wacked down. Lets see how long they it lasts before it sinks.

Report to the enforcement officer at the local council. Make a list of all of the ones that slope towards the road, and give him a list.
I have done that round here with limited success, but once its reported and nothing has been done, its evidence against them when flooding occurs and it can be traced back.

Better still, make an individual complaint about each and every incident. Once the planning dept realise that you are making a mountain of paperwork for them, they'll probably intervene.....about a month after the tinkers have cleared off to ruin another part of this green and pleasant land.
