my driveway is beeing block paved this week with cobbles, i would have done it myself but thoght the 65 sq mts was to much for me. could anyone give me any assistance on a sealent to apply to seal the cobbles against stains etc. any advice on how much neeeded, how to apply, and any good suppliers with cost would be extreamly useful.

I would recommend leaving it for 3/4 months before you seal it, this gives chance for efflorescence (natural salt) to come out of the blocks.

After 3/4 months use Resiblock - thats good stuff (available at most merchants) - apply a couple of coats

i think the cost is around £15 - 17 for 5 litres

Block paved with cobbles? That doesn't make sense! It's like saying your drive is being tarmacked with concrete.

Anyway, Dan is right - leave off the sealant for at least 3 months. In the meantime, have a read of the DOZENS of other sealant questions in the Brew Cabin, and possibly have a look at the sealants page on the main website.

my apologies tony at least it raised a laugh, my drive has been done in cobbles, and looks very good to.

i will be leaving it to settle and seal in a few months.
