Uncalabrated slate paving - Nightmare to lay

Patio flagstones (slabs), concrete flags, stone flags including yorkstone and imported flagstones.

hi there tony I've recently layed a patio with unacalabrated 600x600 slate slabs but had nothing but problems as the varieation in thickness just in one slab could vary from 10 - 40m I layed them on a strong sharp sand and cement mix (wet) as I don't like doing dot and dab as you get voids under the slabs .and I've had to to back a few times to sort some rocking ones just wondering if you have any advise as I don't usually have any problems with rocking slabs useing this mix

What is a good bond bridge slurry to get and can you get it from any builders merchants :) :)

Make sure you get SBR and not it's ugly sister PVA. Any of the big sheds stock it , i know there is a wickes on your industrial estate. Glad your not D&Ding, hanging offence on this site.

Only having the craic, lot of piss taking goes on, i get my fair share. Did you sort out the SBR?
