Well, not Severn Trent, it was their subbie Laing O Rourke.

They came to upgrade the water pipes. Real clown act, waste diesel poured in the flower beds, no dust suppression on cutting tools in a public street, no PPE etc etcv etc.

Now, a neighbour went to work one day, nice three foot boundary wall. ST sent a guy to dig a hole right next to wall. They used the soil/dust extraction kit (the big hoover). He came home to find 20ft of wall on its arse.

Called ST, they contacted LOR, they contacted further subbies 'Mc Andrews. Resulting investigation came back with............

wait for it....

wait....

the wind blew it over :D :D :D

They'd accessed to weather forecast for that day and '...the wind was unseasonally high that day' Errrrr.. because it was winter?
His direct neighbour said the machine vibrated the ornaments on his fireplace as they extracted the soil.

Never seen so much crap work or lack of care ever, ST stood by said contractor and neighbour has to get wall rebuilt from his own funds.

'Considerate Contractors' ? Pah!

Are you sure it was Laing O'Rourke and not O'Rourke groundworks who who do a lot of work for Laing O'Rourke ? They are a bunch off cowboys using a lot of EUs with little regard for quality. Maybe get in touch with severn trent because they should hold Thames water or Severn trent passports to carry out work on their behalf. I have one and can work on any soup farm or water treatment site.

ST subbed LOR they subbed a company called 'McAnderws' this is where all the trouble started. No on site discipline. Maybe as they were in a public area, they thought it didn't matter as no site agent would be stood over them .
We've had a sit down meeting with LOR and ST two months ago. Just got the decision through to say a gust of wind blew it over. What an embarrassing lot of arse wash
