Hi
It's my first post but want to say what a great site this is, really informative.
We are currently underway with our garden renovation and the builder have pretty much cleared the site and started to prepare for the patios.
We are having Nordus Schwarz slate, 50sqm.
From the house to the bottom of the garden has a drop of around 30cm so we are planning to create 3 level tiers: patio by house, drop down 15cm lawn tier, then down another 15cm to bottom patio.
The big dilemma is how to edge/face the small drops. I've searched everywhere for ideas but I'm stuck!
Could we edge the faces of the small steps with the the Nordus Slate? If so, are there any important things to consider when doing that?
The builder needs to know by tomorrow! In order to dig footings if we are going to use some sort of brick to edge it, but I think that will spoil the look.
Any ideas would be great!, thanks for your help
Chris

Concrete the slate in on their edge or laid flat either dry stone effect or with mortar.

Make sure your level patios have a fall built in too.

Hi,
hopefully this works, below are 2 pics of the look we're trying to get.... what do you think? that should be possible shouldn't it with the Nordus slate? (just set the vertical piece down into the base to make it secure?)
