Manhole covers.

Foul and surface water, private drains and public sewers, land drains and soakaways, filter drains and any other ways of getting rid of water.

There are 7 of them in the driveway that I'm currently working on And there are only 80m2 on it. All are live too btw.
The only manhole covers I like to use have the 2 lifting handles and are fully galvanised, not the ones with plastic surrounds.
I can'tcan't find any anywhere. 4 of the 7 are 450x450 and the only ones I can get that are that size have 4 lifting keys.
Why would anyone put 4 lifting keys on a lid the size of a sodding biscuit tin?Image
I swore to myself after using the one pictured that I wouldn't use them again but I'm stuck now until I get them in and set.
Any suggestions?

seeing as you are a Marshalls accredited contractor why don't you purchase the Fabweld solo slide man hole covers, they are a little bit more expensive than the type your buying now but much quicker to install the paving inside due to only having to notch a single side, and look neater too

Solo Slide Man Hole Covers

we have our name etched into the cut out bit for no additional cost to each man hole cover once you have paid for the initial template

Too late to use them on my current job but I'll definitely be giving them a call. Cheers Mick.

The solo slide covers are what we are going to be using from now on as we are marshalls installers now.

Other than that, I try to use the 2 key type, usually from Jewsons.
