Dear All

What would you advise I use to fill large gaps (up to 6cm) in a patio of crazing paving? The paving slabs are sitting on a sand bed which sits on a plant inhibitor sheet (a geotextile) directly on the earth.

I'm obviously worried about it cracking due to movement. If I used a cement, sand and aggregate mix would that be the best (strongest and least likely to crack) option?

Not sure how to attach a photo - can do so if it helps.

thanks in advance for your advice

Graham

many thanks - very comprehensive.

It's pretty clear that I'll need to start again. Take off all the paving slabs and then put down a concrete base and go from there.

I know this is a pain, but I feel it's going to be less of a pain than having to redo the whole lot in a couple years if I continue with my current method

tks again - much appreciated!
