Vitrified paving - Any views

I am looking at updating my patio and would like to hear from anyone who has had any experience with these pavers.
Are they easy to work with, long term looks etc

No experience of laying it just yet although I'll be doing a 65M2 patio in the rustic colour in June.
I think it's a fantastic concept and one of only a few man made patio products that I like and would recommend using.
With it being a clay product the colour should out live us rather than look tired and need replacing in ten years like a coloured concrete slab would.
As for workability clay paving and engineering bricks can be difficult to cut but the symphony flags are only 20mm thick so it shouldn't be to bad.

Thanks for your prompt and positive response, I contacted two of my local Marshall stockists in order to confirm which colour may be best but both of them (in the Stoke area) don't stock Symphony.

Have you had any difficulty ordering it? I am looking at around 70m2 but uncertain of what to expect the paving cost to be.

i've used both methods of laying them and the thin bed method especially, needs to be bang on as trying to prise the tile back up to regulate the bed is hard work :;):

Will be using this on current project but will likely be a few weeks before ready to lay.

Merchants do not stock and cannot bring it into stock. They can order it through Marshalls and it is delivered direct from Marshalls who also set the price.
My quote is around £42m2 but the price varies between colours, the pack sizes are variable as are the slab sizes.

I would assume if you are not a tradesman that maybe you'd be paying a bit more, but you never know. A tub of grout comes with each pack, it's a brush in product.

There is also a sundry product called instarmac which is used as a bonding agent about £20 a tub. Probably worth using this, not sure how far it goes but as they've quoted the same quantity as the packs......

I think its a stunning looking product.

Thanks guys for the info, again positive. I will try and find somebody in my area and get a quote for supply and fit but it looks like as they appear to be new not many have been fitted yet.

Just to advise, it's also recommended that a product such as Ultrascape Proprimer is used in addition to a standard mortar base to prevent moisture gaining access to the underside of the paving. It's also worth looking at the Stonemarket Vitrified as there are some alternative products within this range. We offer both this helps at all :;):
