I think your site look's tidy Mick and your portfolio is outstanding. You deserve all the awards that have come your way.

Did you build the site yourself?

The areason I ask is because there is a lot of stuff that goes unseen in a website that optimises it to rank higher in a search engine.
I'm having a new site built within the next few weeks because the one I have is nice but very basic and the one that is going to be built is going to be better for optimisation and linked to over 400 places online to help keep me on the first page on google.

the whole thing is excellent

2 things that I dont particularly like though

1.the use of models and stock images,makes it look corporate

2 the "royal we"

As said many times you couldnt turn out that quality of work with 12 men on 4 different jobs

yeah built it myself Simon, I bought a template and added the content with a few alterations to the layout

there is one image I did not take on my camera on the home page, I liked the angle of the block paving heading towards the house is why I chose that photo

there is no I in TEAM

I said to Mark earlier on tonight when he asked am I going to post the link to my new site on the brew cabin, I replied with "yeah why not I have not had my ear chewed for a few weeks" lol

its early days as I only joined at the back end of last year, sounds like you had a bad experience with checkatrade ?

Excellent, really classy looking. As I've said before you have an alternative career should the knees ever cave in.

I would have liked to have seen more of your work when clicking on some of the driveway links rather than one image and possibly a bit too much written information. They say a picture says a thousand words and your work speaks for itself.

The cutting in of the granite paving looks far to precise to have been done by a human being:D

looking at your site reminds me that mine is long overdue an overhaul.

good point and its on my to do list, its still a work in progress with more thumb nail photos to be added what open to larger images

ha ha the granite jobs, I though instead of laying as per Marshalls laying pattern I will do a totally random laying pattern, in doing so it meant cutting 5mm off one side, mainly the small size, as the patio progressed it meant cutting 5mm off all sizes, when the granite is pushed tight together it all works fine with size but as soon as you have a joint they don't space out evenly

I was with them for around 6-7 years, just didn't like the way things were starting to be done. Don't know if they still have the members area/forum? you might want to have a look at it sometime, unless they have removed certain threads from last few years.

Yeah they are a pain the 300x600 also. Last one we installed I laid the joints of the 300's tight and ran through them with a 9 inch disc once the patio had set. Seemed to work fine, as long as you cut fairly deep the blade will follow the line.
