you cant use a html link in the image box it has to be an image url

what you have is this on the end which is why it is not working

.jpg.html

you need to use the image URL from the list on the right hand side of the page on photobucket

BUT you need to remove the opening and closing [IMG] tags as the forum software adds the same again hence your issue

EDIT
just tried to get it to work and I cant either

testing this as a link to the page what has the photo
photo of a driveway

this link above I used the direct link from the list on photobucket, copy the link and paste it into the http:// button when you add a post on paving expert and then choose what text you would like to use for the link

unless someone knows a better way to link an image to the forum from photobucket ?

I can't find the settings bit in albums where you turn the easy linking mode on or link back to album off Tony.

Shame because I finished a nice little Teg drive yesterday, have some pictures of stone that look a bit dodgey and have a CAD drawing I wanted to post up.

Ok Sy,
I reckon where you're going wrong is trying to add images as quick post. You need to do it from (edit) Post a reply.

From the homepage of photobucket, navigate to your Library.

When you find the image you want to use, there will be 4 tags:
e-mail
direct
html
image

Left Click on DIRECT and then right click copy.

Click on the image button within Brew Cabin which is the far right button above the dialogue box and paste.

Way to go.
Here's one I did earlier.

Printed mac what next :D

Thanks LC, we'll see if this works.

A nice little teg drive.

I get this message, You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board. A valid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.gif, an invalid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.one.gif

when using my settings I dont need to click on the image tag in the brewcabin as photobucket has done it already
just click and copy the image tag in photobucket
minimise that page then click on the brewcabin page and paste

it is hard till you get the hang of it1

cheers LLL

It would be a lot easier if we could post images direct from the hard drive. I'm sure there are other websites which do this without compromising security.
