I had/have a Samsung that would of survived nuclear holocaust.
Got it out the drawer there but can't see the writing or anything to identify model type. Googled it and reckon it's a Samsung "solid" or "immerse".
Doesn't look cool but it was solid and I know a mate who immersed his in pint lager and it still worked.
Makes phone calls, sends text messages....
Hope this helps

I have a samsung. It is not a smart phone, and I dont intend to ever have one. Too good for work. Tablet for emails, phone for phone calls. Brought it for 15quid three years ago, still going. Not sure on the model though, but I think its not made anymore. I would concur with mick. The missus has one and they are superb.
funny how ten years ago, everyone had nokia and said how great they were. Now look at them!!

Had the samsung one tough waterproof one, screen broke on me when I was picking up a pressure washer.
Got JCB sitemaster now, typical 'tough' phone. No camera on it,speaker is loud, has a torch which isn't bright but does come in handy, has a laser pointer which is good for dogs / cats / pointing at your Mrs' boobs.
Happy with the JCB, don't like the sitemaster 2 model as much though.

i liked my old nokia 8210
small
battery life a week
make and receive calls anywhere
iphone
battery lasts 8 hours
calls are 50/50
easy to drop (although I have a griffin case)
I was recently advised to turn off mobile data to increase call quality and that has helped, but to my mind an old nokia candy bar phone did the business

I've been through 5 phones in 18 months. I tried to go without a smart phone but there to handy for sat navigation, camera, Internet ect. I've always liked samsung phones but like most smart phones there a bit flimsy.
I've now got an £80 Nokia windows phone. Good bit of kit and I won't cry if I break it.

That case is the answer to the problem - but it shouldn't happen!! My iPh5 was the best phone I think.
