Hi all.
Looking for recommendations for a rotary laser level tripod with seperate staff. It will be used outdoors for an ongoing DIY landscaping/patio/driveway task. Lots of small walls to build with plenty of long runs of footings.
I tackle jobs as and when i can, so it makes no sense to keep hiring a kit. I think a rotary laser will be better than an optical one as most of the time i am working alone!
I have no budget in mind, and prepared to be shocked at prices for any half-decent model!
Thanks in advance.

3 years on and it has performed well
if you sniff around ebay you may get one cheaper but the tripod and staff are worth the extra

The new topcon like tony said is a good bit if kit... Good guarantee too.
Single grade laser, including tripod was 600 I think, you might pick up a recon unit from some suppliers, make sure you get it calibrated though.

Topcon is good, we use Sokkia LP30A which I can also recommend, very robust, can run of normal battery's if proper one has no charge double sided receiver and rotating lazar is easy visible even from distance due to angled black and white strips. http://best-surveying.com/product....oom.jpg
