Thinking of paving back garden now.

Rang local suppliers for Indian sandstone prices and was quoted £23m2 approx, more than I wanted to pay.

Does anyone have regular dealings with online suppliers they could recommend? Quite flexible about colours etc.

Need approx 30m2 of slabs so prob 2 project packs.

Thanks
Cheers - J

£23 is a fair price for calibrated decent quality sandstone. £65 per pallet for delivery from Londonstone (I'm based in Edinburgh and they are my preferred choice for stone). You can get cheaper, ~ £15 a square meter but you have to be careful of the quality, it will range in thickness from 10-30mm and possibly be a very soft stone

If that is too expensive for you you could try Thistle building supplies, they are the best of the builders merchants and occasionally they have a good deal going on sandstone packs.

£23 is a fair price

you can always get stuff cheaper but it may not be fit for the purpose

most reputable suppliers are charging around £20+VAT which equals £24 now

however I believe london stone has an ebay shop for odds and ends

Ok then thanks for replays guys. I guess I'm being a bit tight grumbling at £23m2.

Being more specific, price was for :

STONE MARKET - marketstone, Sahara riven paving slabs.

Is stonemarket a well known, tried and tested supplier?

Time to part with the cash and get on with it?

Cheers

Seems like a fair price for a stonemarket product. Stonemarket is very trusted brand for paving so you should have no worries on that score

We used infinitepaving.com and paid about £25 per square metre for a quality honed and sawn Indian Sandstone. The guys at infinite paving are not always super responsive but we were very happy with the consistent quality of the stone. The £25 per square metre included VAT and Delivery so worth checking them out. We would not hesitate to buy again from them.
