Help! I have a patio made up of concrete slabs on a concrete base, which often has water puddles that stay for weeks.:(
Its about 12mx10m, there is no obvious drainage and it surrounded by a raised garden, the house and garden walls. It does have a well under a manhole in it which is feed from the gutter down pipes and drained by a 3inch pipe which feeds a storm drain the other side of the garden wall.
Any suggestions on how to stop the puddles staying welcome.
:)

Lay it properly in the first instance I'd say

Iam afraid Dave is right, I guess you could install a channel drain that runs in to the well?

I agree it has been laid badly but I don't want to replace the whole lot.
I think some form of channel drainage to the well would work as I know the water will disperse from there. But the water sits on the concrete below the slabs so ideally the drainage system would need to allow water to enter it on the surface from the slabs and also about 2 inches below from the concrete slab.
Is there a way of cutting a channel into the concrete to create a drain that could be covered by slabs without getting completely obstructed by the slabs?

its hard to guess without a picture but some kind of channel and linear drainage may be the answer
