finally got sorted with citb and was promised a lot, lad went to college yesterday and came back telling me he thinks he must be an apprentice odd job man ,the course hes been put on is general construction nothing to do with groundwork or paving

generally speaking the college side is 90% elfin safety

which in my youth was called common sense

very little practical is done nowdays, what really pisses me off is the calibre of most of the applicants

we have to pay a 1.5% levy on all turnover over 90 grand

I got given an apprentice last week .starts college in a couple of weeks . He will obtain a lot of tickets quickly from what he was showing me.Give him his due he seems keen and he will have a go.150 a week first year.
