I have just had 160sq meters of drive laid using stonemarket brindle paving.
At the top of the drive there is an area which stays much darker than the rest. There are several other areas in the drive where groups of two or three blocks are dark.
The colour of the blocks was fine when they were laid but after it has rained the dark areas appeared.
The top of the drive is on a slope and there is one block which dries out completely but the others are retaining moisture and remaining dark.
I have have three block paved drives which all were over 150sq meters and this is the first time I have had any issues.
Are the blocks faulty?
If they are holding moisture then when a hard winter hits then I am afraid the blocks will crack due to ice.
Any advice ?

Scorchio, usually blocks don’t breaks during winter. Recently I had paved my garden surface and I was in a similar condition as yours. My son use to ride his bicycle on that paved surface, the blocks of the surface were getting cracked. Then once my neighbor suggested me, to hire a professional paving team of my area and I contacted them. The paving team first pulled out all blocks carefully, and then they made my garden surface in prefect level and then paved the complete surface with complete perfection. I found their help every helpful and I will suggested you to hire a professional paving team of your area. I hope my suggestion will help you out.

Just a quick update.
The rep from the manufacture has been out to inspect the suspect blocks.
After he had looked at the drive he took numerous photos and agreed that the blocks were faulty.
He has agreed to replace the whole drive 160 sq meters with new blocks.
He has also agreed to pay the contractor to lift and relay.
The blocks were holding water and would not dry out like a normal block should.
