Foul and surface water, private drains and public sewers, land drains and soakaways, filter drains and any other ways of getting rid of water.

Hi

I have run of clay pipes - clean rainwater only drain - which I think may be leaking slightly at a couple of the joints - no cracks in the pipe.

Is this anything to worry about?

The pipe run is 1 metre from the house (runs parallel). Since the joints will only leak bit when it rains and there will be rain water draining down from the surface anyway, I was wondering if a bit of leakage at the joints actually mattered.

Depends on many factors.

Volume of water loss, ground type, construction of house foundations. If your house isnt sliding down the hill and your sub-floor is dry dont worry about it BUT keep an eye on it
